The Formlabs Clear Cast Resin in the 5-liter bottle, optimized for the Form 3, is a premium 3D printing resin designed for transparent, durable applications. Although categorized as Tough/ABS-like, it offers exceptional clarity after post-processing. This material features impressive hardness and toughness similar to ABS plastic, making it resistant to breakage while retaining high flexibility. The resolution is extremely fine, allowing for the reproduction of intricate details and smooth surfaces. The resin is exclusively designed for Formlabs SLA printers in the Form 3 and Form 3+ series, leveraging their Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) technology for precise results. After printing, thorough cleaning with isopropyl alcohol is required, followed by UV post-curing to maximize mechanical properties and achieve final transparency. This versatile resin is suitable for fields such as model making (detailed miniatures) and functional engineering prototypes that must withstand stress. It is also ideal for transparent casings or medical and dental models where clarity is required, as well as jewelry castings that need to shine after casting or polishing. When handling the resin, always wear personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses), and use it only in well-ventilated areas, as skin and eye irritation as well as allergies are possible. Post-processing involves removing support structures and polishing for a glass-like finish.
