BASF Ultracur3D RG 1100 from Forward AM is a high-strength polyurethane-based engineering plastic with mechanical properties comparable to those of widely used injection-molded grades in the automotive industry or other demanding sectors. Due to its high heat deflection temperature (HDT 116°C), good chemical resistance, and long-term UV stability, this material is ideal for applications such as automotive connectors, high-performance engineering parts, exterior covers, brackets, and enclosures. Polyurethane-based 1K materials can be printed quickly on a wide range of industrial printers with minimal post-processing, enabling low cost per part and fast turnaround times. Furthermore, the clear base material, in combination with the Ultracur3D Color Kit, enables the production of high-performance components not only in clear, but also in black and other colors. With sales of €59.3 billion (2019), BASF is the world’s largest chemical company. Founded in Mannheim in 1865, the company now employs over 115,000 people. BASF’s headquarters are located in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. All 3D printing materials manufactured by BASF Forward AM are produced within the EU.
