Loctite 3D 3843 HDT60 by Henkel is a high-quality, transparent standard acrylic resin specifically engineered for industrial applications. This resin stands out for its exceptional toughness and high Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT 60°C), making it ideal for functional prototypes and load-bearing parts. Although categorized under 'Flexible_Rubber', it provides a balance of stiffness and impact resistance, minimizing brittleness and breakage. The material features excellent detail resolution, reproducing intricate structures with sharp precision, and very low shrinkage during the curing process, ensuring high dimensional accuracy. The resin is optimized for common LCD/DLP 3D printers operating at a wavelength of 385–405 nm. Typical layer thicknesses range from 25 to 100 microns. Preferred applications include the manufacturing of durable casings, technical models, jigs, and fixtures in engineering, as well as medical and dental models where transparency and strength are required. Regarding safety, the resin is classified as irritant; thus, it should always be handled with nitrile gloves and in well-ventilated areas to prevent skin and eye contact. Post-processing involves thorough washing of the printed part in isopropyl alcohol to remove uncured resin, followed by UV post-curing (e.g., 395 nm) for approximately 10–15 minutes to achieve the final mechanical properties.
